School Library
The Sunnybrook School library has over 8,000 volumes, including fiction, non-fiction, French books, periodicals, videos, cd’s, encyclopedias and other reference volumes. All students use the library to support their growing ability in reading and to help develop research skills.
Our full time librarian is skilled in assisting students and teachers in developing literacy and research skills. The Sunnybrook library programme supports and enhances the Programme of Inquiry in all grades.
Information literacy and reading pleasure are the principal goals of the library programme. All classes have a weekly library period. Beginning in J.K. students have the privilege of taking books home.
Children are encouraged to visit the library to borrow books for personal reading, as well as for projects. We have an extensive collection of French books and videos to support the French programme.
Parent volunteers make an enormous contribution to the success of our library.
