Learning Through Technology

Technology is our children’s world. It allows them to reach a wide audience, communicate with others, create their own work in multiple media and access information. They learn with and through technology. We create and recreate learning approaches to keep abreast of the changes in technology. SMART Boards in our classrooms and a laptop computer lab are in constant use as our students learn twenty-first century skills through technology.

Some applications in the classroom are:

As our students move through the programme, they gradually increase their use of technology to enhance their learning. By the time they are in grade 6, during their final year project, the PYP Exhibition, students will have learned to use IT:

• To research their project
• To write the required essay
• To use digital photography and video to enhance their presentation
